Why is the government combining various agencies' Sender IDs into a single gov.sg Sender ID?

Using a single gov.sg SMS Sender ID will make it easier for the public to identify authentic government SMSes. From 1 July 2024 onwards, the public can be sure that all SMSes from the gov.sg Sender ID have been sent from a Singapore Government agency, ministry, statutory board, or service.
