Why have the childcare subsidy rates and table been revised?
There are revisions to the childcare subsidy table due to changes in the minimum co-payment amounts.
The minimum co-payment amount is the smallest fee that a parent who qualifies for Additional Subsidy must pay. This co-payment amount increases with your income. Please note that the assessed income used to determine Additional Subsidy eligibility includes base salary, bonuses, commissions, overtime pay, allowances, and employee CPF contributions.
For instance, if your household income is $3,000 or less, you could receive up to $467 in Additional Subsidy plus a $300 Basic Subsidy. However, if your child's full-day programme fee is $741, you would receive $438 in Additional Subsidy due to the $3 co-payment that applies to your income tier.
