Are preschool staff required to wear face masks?
Health & Hygiene in Preschools
In line with the national posture, preschool staff are not required to wear masks. Nevertheless, those who prefer to continue wearing masks due to personal circumstances (e.g. living with vulnerable persons, individual is immuno-compromised) may do so.
To facilitate children’s learning and development, educators who prefer to wear a mask may use clear face masks during language and literacy lessons, so that the children can see the educators’ lip movements, visual cues, and facial expressions. We encourage you to share your concerns with your child’s preschool so that they can also address them directly.
