After making a disclosure through the Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP), will Singapore Customs still conduct an investigation?
Singapore Customs retains the right to conduct further investigations on individuals or companies who make disclosures through the VDP. This applies to errors and omissions related to any laws and regulations that Singapore Customs administers and enforces. While voluntary disclosure is encouraged, it does not preclude the possibility of additional investigation to ensure full compliance to the relevant laws and regulations.
