Am I eligible to make a voluntary disclosure through the VDP if Singapore Customs is currently investigating me?
The Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) is not applicable if investigations or audit checks have already begun, or if Singapore Customs has sent notices informing the trader of ongoing investigations into their offences.
In these cases, the disclosure would no longer be considered voluntary, as the authorities are already aware of potential non-compliance. The VDP is designed for proactive disclosures made before any official action has been initiated.
