If an entity's application to become an Free Trade Zone (FTZ) operator is rejected, or there is no entity applying to become an FTZ operator, will Singapore Customs have an issue finding suitable entities to take up this role?
Entities interested in managing an Free Trade Zone (FTZ) will apply to be the operator of that FTZ. An FTZ can only exist if there is a commercial need and an FTZ operator to manage it. If no entity wishes to manage an FTZ, the FTZ will be de-gazetted as an FTZ.
