Goods, except for dutiable liquor and tobacco products, imported from a foreign territory may be imported into Singapore and temporarily stored in the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) (including storage in the second FTZ), pending release for local consumption or re-export to foreign countries.
An In-Non-Payment "Storage in FTZ" permit is required to cover the storage of the imported goods temporarily in the FTZ or movement to another FTZ. GST payment is suspended on goods stored in any of the FTZs in Singapore. If the goods are subject to control, the approval from the relevant Competent Authorities must be obtained.
Please note that dutiable liquors and tobacco products are allowed to be stored temporarily in the FTZ for up to 30 days from the date of cargo arrival, pending transhipment or removal to a licensed warehouse.
