Updated by CUSTOMS

For the importation of rough diamonds, the shipment must be accompanied with a valid KP certificate issued by the overseas exporting KP authority and the importer or its agent must produce the shipment, overseas issued KP certificate, Customs import permit and supporting documents (i.e. commercial invoice, packing list and Air WayBill (AWB)) to the checkpoint officers at the time of importation for endorsement.

A detailed description of the rough diamonds (e.g. origin, type, size, carat weight/mass and value of rough diamonds, etc.) has to be included in your application for Customs import permit.

Singapore Customs may also conduct inspections on your import shipments of rough diamonds at our office or at any premises specified.
