Does the RCEP cover GST rebate?
No. The preferential tariff treatment accorded under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) only pertains to Customs duty. All other taxes, such as GST and Excise duty, are excluded from the scope of the Agreement and remain applicable, where relevant.
