Why is the RVC specified in the LOA issued for my Letter of Undertaking (LOU) submission?
Singapore Customs does not verify the cost structure of products covered by the Letter of Undertaking (LOU). Rather, we acknowledge that you, as the applicant, will do the required evaluation or assessment (e.g. conduct cost analysis) to ensure that the products qualify as an originating good under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in question via the prevailing origin criteria.
It is your company's responsibility to assess and derive the correct Regional Value Content (RVC) for the qualified products and declare it accordingly in the corresponding Certificate of Origin (CO) applications.
