I made a mistake on the exporter's name of my Customs export permit. Can I make the amendment on the permit?
Amendment of the exporter's name is not allowed as the "Exporter Name" is a critical field in the export permit. You should cancel your permit in TradeNet and obtain another export permit with the correct exporter's name. However, the cancellation of the export permit has to be done before cargo clearance and/or prior to the cargo being loaded onto the outward conveyance.
Please note that cancellation is not allowed after the cargo has been exported out of Singapore or if the export permit has expired. If the export permit cannot be cancelled, you may wish to make a voluntary disclosure. Under the Customs Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP), companies may voluntarily come forward in good faith to disclose errors and omissions committed by them under laws and regulations administered and enforced by Singapore Customs. More information on the VDP can be found here. You may wish to submit an application via the Networked Trade Platform (NTP) > Government Services > Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) by uploading all the required supporting documents in PDF format (Cargo Clearance Permit/ ACCESS Permit, Commercial Invoices, Air Waybill (AWB) or Bill of Lading (B/L), Packing List/Purchase Order/Delivery Order, and any other relevant documents). Singapore Customs will contact them should any further information be required.
