I am exporting some pets overseas permanently. What are the required procedures?

Updated by CUSTOMS

Generally, for exportation of all goods, including live animals, the exporter is required to check with the relevant Competent Authorities (CA) on any licensing or export requirements to be fulfilled.

For pets exported as manifested cargoes, the exporter is required to obtain a Customs Out "Direct" (OUT-DRT) permit prior to the exportation of the pets.

For personal pets exported as part of the owner's accompanied personal baggage, no Customs export permit is required unless it is meant for commercial purposes.
