Are there licence exemptions for activities involving scheduled chemicals?

A Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) licence is not required for the following activities:

  • The production, processing or consumption (for a permitted purpose), the import or export of a mixture containing 30% or less by weight of a Schedule 2B chemical to a State Party of the CWC; and
  • The production for a permitted purpose, the import or export of a mixture containing 30% or less by weight of a Schedule 3 chemical to a State Party of the CWC.
