Can the goods be cleared if the GST payment for an approved permit is pending?
Please note that deduction via IBG will take place within 3 days from the permit application approval date. Please ensure that there are sufficient funds for payment. You may proceed to remove the goods from customs control after the permit has been approved if the permit condition issued is either "GF" or "G7".
Otherwise, if the permit condition issued is "G1", you may only remove goods from customs control after payment of Customs duty/GST via cash or cheque has been made to Singapore Customs at any United Overseas Bank (UOB) branch.
