I have some decorative silver bars, ingots, wafers and coins. What are the eligibility criteria for GST exemption?
Individuals or businesses importing Investment Precious Metals (IPMs) into Singapore are exempted from paying Goods and Services Tax (GST) if the IPMs meet the IPM Qualifying Criteria. Please click here for more information on the importation of IPM. If your decorative silver bars, ingots, wafers and coins do not fulfill the qualifying criteria, you are required to pay GST for the import of these items.
