I am moving to Singapore and will import my used household articles and personal effects (PE). I have some Investment Precious Metals (IPMs). Can I declare the IPMs as part of my PE?

If you are eligible for GST relief on your importation of used household articles and personal effects (PE), you may import the Investment Precious Metals (IPMs) as part of your PE.

If you are not eligible for GST relief on your importation of used household articles and PE, please note that exemption of GST has been granted for the importation of qualifying IPMs into Singapore.

You may refer to Customs website for more information on import permit requirements for IPMs.

For the full list of qualifying IPMs bars, wafers, ingots and coins and the respective criteria for GST exemption, please refer to IRAS' website and e-Tax Guide "GST: Guide on Exemption on Investment Precious Metals (IPM)".
