How do I appoint a Trusted Contact?

Updated by CPF
You can easily appoint a Trusted Contact via the Add or remove Trusted Contact e-form. You will need to log in with your Singpass to access the e-form.

Before you proceed:
Ensure that you and your appointee’s contact details registered with CPF Board are complete and up to date. You may update your contact details via Account settings before returning to this form.

Important notes:
  • You may need to verify your identity using enhanced authentication measures to complete the submission of Trusted Contact appointment.
  • Your appointee has seven days to respond to your Trusted Contact appointment request, after which the request will automatically expire.
  • If the Trusted Contact appointment request has expired, you will need to submit a new request. We strongly encourage you to personally inform your appointee about the Trusted Contact appointment request to ensure they are aware of it and understand their role as a Trusted Contact.
Steps to appoint:
  1. Select the ‘Add a Trusted Contact’ option at Step 1 of the form.
  2. Provide the following details of the person you wish to appoint:
    1. Full name (as per NRIC)
    2. NRIC number
    3. Relationship to you
  3. Review your input before submitting the e-form.

What happens next:
  • Both you and your Trusted Contact appointee will be notified upon successful submission. The Trusted Contact appointment will only take effect once your appointee accepts the request. Please remind your appointee to accept your Trusted Contact appointment request within seven days of submission. You may go to the Activities page to view the status of your request.
  • Once your Trusted Contact appointment request has been accepted, your Trusted Contact will receive a copy of your notifications whenever important transactions occur in your CPF account.
