From 1 January 2026, the Matched Retirement Savings Scheme (MRSS) is expanded to include Singaporeans of all ages with disabilities. Eligible persons with disabilities can receive a dollar-for-dollar matching grant of up to $2,000/year, with a lifetime limit of $20,000 from the Government on cash top-ups received in their Retirement or Special Account (RA/SA). Anyone such as the member, their loved ones, employers^{^} or members of the community, can make the cash top-ups. As a caregiver, you can make cash top-ups to the RA or SA of eligible persons with disabilities to help build up their retirement savings earlier.

If your loved one is below 55 as of 31^st December of the year, they are required to have their disability status verified with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).

 

If your loved one is 55 or above as of 31^st December of the year, they will be assessed for eligibility regardless of their disability status. They are not required to have their disability status verified with MSF.
