Can I use my MediSave to top-up my family member’s MediSave Account?
You may use your MediSave for your family members in different ways. Here are the options depending on your intent :
1. If you would like to pay for your family member's hospitalisation/outpatient expenses,
You can approach the Medical Institution (MI) where your immediate family member is receiving treatment, to sign the Medical Claims Authorisation Form (MCAF) and authorise the use of your MediSave directly. Find out more on how to pay for your family member’s hospitalisation and outpatient expenses.
2. If you would like to pay for your family member's Integrated Shield Plan (IP) premiums,
You can use your MediSave to pay for your family member's IP premiums by changing the payer. Find out more on how to pay for your family member's premium.
3. If you would like to make voluntary cash top-ups to your family member’s MediSave Account (MA),
You can find out more on voluntary cash top ups to MA.
4. If you are 55 and above and have withdrawable savings in your Ordinary Account (OA) that you would like to top up your own or a loved one’s MA using savings from your OA,
You can complete the “Top up My / My Loved Ones’ MediSave Account using CPF Savings” form.
