What is the difference between the inpatient and outpatient deductible? Do I have to pay both deductibles if I seek treatments in both settings?

The inpatient deductible applies to inpatient treatments, and the outpatient deductible applies to outpatient treatments.

Please note that the deductible paid for inpatient treatments in a policy year will also count towards the outpatient deductible, and vice versa.

For example, if a patient has paid at least $500 towards their deductible in the inpatient setting in a policy year, they would have fulfilled the outpatient deductible for the same policy year.
