How long does it take to process applications relating to GIRO matters?

Online applications to set up/reinstate/terminate GIRO for MediSave contributions submitted by the 15th of the month will take effect in the same month. Otherwise, the GIRO arrangement will take effect from the following month.
 
For example, if you submit an online application on 15 June to set up/reinstate a GIRO arrangement, your first GIRO deduction will take place on *25 June. If you submit the online application on 16 June, your first GIRO deduction will take place on *25 July.
 
Hardcopy applications to set up GIRO arrangement will require up to 21 working days to process. If processed by the 15th of the month, the first GIRO deduction will take place in the same month. Otherwise, the first GIRO deduction will take place from the following month.
 
If you had requested to terminate your GIRO arrangement via your bank, please inform us so that we can update your GIRO details accordingly.
 
*If the 25th is a Saturday, Sunday, or Public Holiday, the amount will be deducted on the next working day.
