Why am I receiving this notification pertaining to my child's MediShield Life outstanding premium?

Under MediShield Life Act/Regulations, parents are liable to pay for their child's MediShield Life premiums until the child is 21 years old.

As such, we are writing to inform you of your child's outstanding premium amount. Please top up your child's MediSave Account to pay the premiums. Alternatively, perform a Change Payer request to take over the premium payment using your MediSave. You may view the payment options in the link below:
“How can I view and pay my/my dependant(s)'s CareShield Life/ElderShield and MediShield Life premiums?”

If premiums remain outstanding, your child's outstanding premium amount may be deducted from your MediSave account subsequently.
