What is an unmanned aircraft (UA) operator permit?

Updated by CAAS

An operator permit is granted by CAAS to an organisation or individual if the applicant has demonstrated that he/she is able to operate the unmanned aircraft (UA) safely.

The assessment will include, but not limited to, the applicant's organisational set-up, procedures to manage safety including the conduct of safety risk assessments, airworthiness of each UA, and competency of the personnel involved in the flying of the UA.

For more information on operator permit and the application process, please refer to the UA operator and activity permits.
