Class 1 Activity Permit

Indoor Activities

• Required for events with more than 50 attendees

• Required for sporting activities (competitions, races, tournaments)

Outdoor Activities

• Recreational use: Required if UA weighs more than 25kg or flying beyond visual line of sight

• Educational use: Required if UA weighs more than 7kg or flying beyond visual line of sight

• Business purposes: Required for all outdoor UA operations regardless of weight, location, or altitude

Class 2 Activity Permit

Outdoor Recreational Use

• Applies when UA weighs 25kg or less AND is operated in any of these conditions:

• Higher than 200 feet above mean sea level (AMSL)

• Within restricted/danger areas

• Within 5km of airports/military airbases

Outdoor Educational Use

• Applies when UA weighs 7kg or less AND is operated in any of these conditions:

• Higher than 200 feet above mean sea level (AMSL)

• Within restricted/danger areas

• Within 5km of airports/military airbases

Key Points to note:

• To apply for a Class 1 activity permit, a valid operator permit is required

• Class 1 activity permit is required for all outdoor activities for business /non-recreational/ non-educational purposes

• Class 2 activity permit is not applicable for indoor flights
