Some seniors and persons with disabilities may have received subsidies from both SMF and ATF* for support. With policy changes to SMF and ATF schemes from 14 Feb 2022, seniors and persons with disabilities are now served under just one scheme and agency throughout their lifetime. If the applicant has tapped on ATF before the age of 60, the applicant shall continue to be served by ATF and not SMF. If the applicant first tapped on ATF at the age of 60 or older, the applicant shall be served by SMF.

*ATF provides subsidies for persons with disabilities to purchase assistive technology devices to enable independent living.
