NREP and NROC are two different registries run by Sport Singapore. Which one you register for depends on what you teach.

  • Register for NREP (National Registry of Exercise Professionals) if you are a fitness or exercise professional - for example a personal trainer, gym instructor, or group fitness, yoga, pilates, aerobics or dance fitness instructor. Find details and register here.

  • Register for NROC (National Registry of Coaches) if you are a sport-specific coach - for example a swimming, badminton, football or athletics coach. Find details and register here.

Common related questions

  • Coaching in schools: MOE has its own separate registration for instructors engaged by schools, on top of NROC. Physical Sports CCA instructors must hold valid NROC membership and Standard First Aid certification, and register with MOE via moe.gov.sg. Find details here.

  • Getting your certification course recognised: If you run a training provider and want your course listed as an approved or equivalent certification, email the relevant registry team (nrep@sport.gov.sg for NREP, sport_coaching@sport.gov.sg for NROC) with your course details.
