To fulfil the MTL requirement to be eligible for admission into a Junior College or Millennia Institute, students are required to obtain a minimum grade of :

D for G1 MTL
5 for G2 MTL/ NTIL
D7 for G3 MTL/ NTIL/ AsL/FL
E8 for Higher MTL

Students who did not obtain the minimum grade stated above can be conditionally admitted to JC/MI should they meet the aggregate score for JC/MI admission. They are required to re-sit for the subject, with the flexibility to sit for G1, G2 or G3 MTL, and obtain the required grade by the end of JC1/Pre-U2. These students are eligible to offer MTL ‘B’ at JC/MI, with the flexibility to take their MTL ‘B’ examination at the end of JC1/PU2 or in JC2/Pre-U3.
