What is Conditional Remission Order (CRO)?

Updated by SPS

A Conditional Remission Order (CRO) is a document issued to inmates upon release that requires them not to commit any new offences until their original sentence ends.

Most inmates with good behaviour can be released after serving two-thirds of their sentence. However, if they commit a new offence during this period, they will face additional punishment.
