What are the criteria to be a supervisor under SPC’s supervisory framework?
Pharmacists who wish to be a supervisor must meet the following criteria:
Registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council;
Holding a valid practising certificate;
Working in a SPC-approved training centre or elective training centre; and
Must have at least 3 years of working experience as a registered pharmacist.
Have completed the National Preceptor Training Programme accredited by the SPC.
The supervisor must work on a full-time basis in the same department or practice place as the supervisee and provide timely and direct supervision.
In cases where the pharmacist works in an approved secondary practice place, the SPC-approved primary supervisor is required to solicit feedback from the secondary supervisor(s) in completing the pharmacist’s periodic assessment reports.
