I wish to provide telehealth / telemedicine / tele services as a General Practitioner for patients who are residing in another country during my stay in Singapore. Do I need to register with SMC?

The provision of your medical services to citizens/patients in other countries is outside the provisions of the Singapore Medical Registration Act. It is presumed that you know the professional responsibility that you need to comply with the medical standards and code of conduct of the country that the patient resides in.

However you must not engage in any telehealth services with any patients who are located in Singapore if you are not fully registered with the SMC or do not have a valid practising certificate to practise medicine on patients here.
