How can I find out if there is an encroachment to my property or onto my neighbour's property after an Addition and Alteration (A & A) carried out to a property?

Generally, topographic survey shows features on site in relation to site boundaries for planning purposes. It may give you an idea where encroachments are. However, in order to confirm if there is an encroachment to your property or onto your neighbour's property, you need to engage a registered surveyor to carry out a cadastral survey for encroachment detection. This survey is submitted to Chief Surveyor for approval and is admissible to court.
