Without rental rebate, are there any other measures to assist businesses in 2010?
The Government continues to provide assistance to businesses with the following measures:
I. Budget 2009 measures that will continue for another year in 2010 comprising:
a) the Skills Programme for Upgrading and Resilience (SPUR); and
b) tax measures including the accelerated capital allowance for equipment, accelerated writing down of renovation and refurbishment expenses and enhancement of the loss carry-back relief system.
II. Recently announced extension of the following Budget 2009 Resilience Package measures for another year in 2010:
a) additional tranches of Jobs Credit; and
b) extension of the Special Risk-Sharing Initiative.
