Singpass has stringent security measures in place to safeguard your personal data. For example, when you use Singpass app to scan the QR code at the counter, the app will check for the legitimacy of the QR code before requesting for your consent to share the required data with the organisation/government agency. The data will be encrypted and sent securely to the organisation/government agency.
Nonetheless, we urge users to be vigilant when transacting online. You can ACT against scams:
Add the Singpass app only from the official app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Huawei AppGallery)
Check that the web domain is singpass.gov.sg before entering your details
Tell Singpass Helpdesk if something is amiss - call 6335 3533 and press “9”
