When can kidney transplant patient resume sexual activity after transplant surgery?

Updated by SGH-TRANSPLANTPEDIA
Usually 6 weeks after surgery, provided the wound has healed. However, it is important that contraception is used as immunosuppressants are teratogenic. Any plans for pregnancy will require prior discussion with your kidney specialist first.
