Should I be listed at another transplant centre?

Updated by SGH-TRANSPLANTPEDIA

Deceased donor kidney allocation in Singapore is centrally coordinated at a national level, and patients can only be listed at one transplant centre.
Kidney transplants are performed at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National University Hospital (NUH, NUCOT), and both centres have equal priority under the national allocation system.
SGH has the longest-established kidney transplant programme in Singapore having started kidney transplants in 1970. It currently cares for the majority of patients on the national waiting list and has performed the highest number of deceased donor kidney transplants for Singapore in recent years.
SGH also follows up the largest number of transplant recipients in Singapore, with extensive experience in managing patients across all stages of care.
