What is the difference between choking and aspiration?

Updated by SGH-AHPEDIA

While both are serious, choking is a complete blockage of the airway, preventing breathing. This requires immediate emergency response.

Aspiration happens when food/drink enters the airway but doesn't completely block it. This can sometimes be "silent" with no obvious signs.
