How can I prepare for my first session?
It would be helpful to start thinking about your present challenges and your goals, if any - when you come for your first session, the therapist will guide you through the process of understanding your needs.
Therapy is most effective when the individual is intentional about improving their well-being. This does not mean you need to be completely ready, or clear on your goals yet. Each person's reasons for therapy is different, and a first session can feel scary or exciting for some. To make the best use of your appointment, mentally prepare yourself to discuss these difficulties and to ask questions.
We advise you to arrive early or punctually for your session, to prepare yourself.
