Yes, your preterm baby does communicate! Look for these signs.Calm/happy signals: Relaxed facial expressions, looking at you or around, hands fisted and brought to chest, limbs that aren't floppy. Stressed signals: Frowning, crying, closing eyes and falling asleep suddenly, fingers splayed with hands stretched out, muscle shaking in jaw or hands, yawning, hiccupping, sneezing.
