Do I need 3D mammography or is regular mammography enough?

3D mammography, also known as breast tomosynthesis, takes multiple low-dose X-ray images from different angles. The computer reconstructs these into a 3D image of the breast, allowing doctors to see through layers of tissue.

Particularly helpful for: Women with dense breast tissue or high risk of breast cancer, as it improves early detection and reduces false alarms compared to traditional mammograms.
