Should I stop taking my medications before my interventional radiology procedure?
Medication
Some medication needs to be stopped few days prior to procedure. Generally, this is also dependant on the type of procedure, you are coming for and what type of medication that you are taking. We will call you ONE day before (around 3:00pm) to advise on the medication to stop. If you are on any blood-thinning medication, we will contact you to advise on omitting them upon scheduling the procedure.
