Will I feel any pain during my X-ray?

Updated by SGH-AHPEDIA

No, X-rays are not painful. You cannot feel the X-ray radiation itself. However, you might experience some minor discomfort from having to hold still in certain positions, especially if you have an injury. The examination table might also feel cold or hard. Any discomfort is brief since X-rays only take a few minutes. If you're in pain, let the radiographer know - they can help position you as comfortably as possible.
