What is an MRI and how does it work?

An MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses strong magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, MRI does not use ionizing radiation.
