Your first Occupational Therapy session will be about getting to know you and your needs. Here's what to expect:

Assessment

- Your OT will ask about your daily routine and challenges

- Discussion about your goals and what matters to you

- Engaging in functional activities to evaluate your abilities and needs

- Physical and/or cognitive assessments (as needed)

After the assessment

- Treatment will be provided and advised as required

- Future appointment dates will be scheduled (as needed)

For your first appointment, kindly bring along

- Your referral letter

- Medical reports (if any)

- A family member/caregiver (if needed)

- Special instructions if indicated on your SMS appointment reminder

Any other questions? Feel free to ask your Occupational Therapist during the session!

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Write down your daily challenges before the session - this helps your OT understand your needs better.
