Want to become an Occupational Therapist in Singapore? Here's what you need! 📚

Education Required:

- Minimum of Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

- Education to be completed in an institution recognised by Allied Health Professional Council

- 3 to 4 years of full-time study, with completion of required clinical placements

Where to Study:

- Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

- Recognised overseas universities in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Ireland, Taiwan etc.

As an Occupational Therapist, we may work in various settings, including:

- Acute care in hospitals

- Subacute rehabilitation in Community Hospitals and Day Rehabilitation Centres

- Outpatient therapy and home therapy services

- Paediatric therapy

- School-based intervention

- Community disability services

Occupational Therapy also provide specialised services such as:

- Community reintegration programmes

- Driving evaluation and rehabilitation services

- Burns and plastics rehabilitation

- Equipment prescription and home modification

- Workplace, Health and Safety consultation
