Can I recover out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. disbursements) that I have incurred while pursuing my claim?
You may claim for out-of-pocket expenses incurred from the other party if you succeed in your claim. Such fees include filing fees that you have incurred. You may however be expected to prove the amount of money that you have paid and that such expenses are necessarily incurred before an order for payment of disbursements is made.
