Can a deputy make all types of decisions for P, or are there limitations?

Updated by SGCOURTS

Deputies are only allowed to make decisions specifically authorised by the Court order. They cannot make decisions outside the scope granted by the Court, such as consenting to marriage, divorce, or making a will on behalf of P.

Sections 25 and 26 of the Mental Capacity Act 2008 sets out some of these restrictions and excluded decisions.
