Would there still be GCE N(T)-/N(A)- and O-Level qualifications in or after 2027?
2026 will be the last year where the GCE N(T)-/N(A)- and O-Level qualifications will be awarded.
From 2027, graduating students will sit for the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) examinations, at their respective subject levels (i.e. G1, G2, G3). This includes the Secondary 5 students who entered Secondary 1 in 2023 (which is not under the Full SBB cohort). The SEC will also be offered to private candidates. One common certificate, the Singapore-Cambridge SEC, will be issued to all eligible candidates with the subjects and subject levels that the candidates offered.
