Anybody can be CERT members regardless of age & gender, locals or foreigners staff can also be a CERT member. Educational requirement & experience is not required as long as they can read, listen & understand simple English, generally they must be fit for light physical activities (e.g. handling a fire extinguisher). However, for premises requiring the use of Breathing Apparatus equipment, CERT members should get a medical evaluation clearance from the medical professionals.
