Specialist vocations such as DART, HazMat and Fire Investigation are not direct-entry roles. For candidates who are interested in these specialisation, you may apply to join the SCDF as a Direct-Entry Lieutenant or Fire & Rescue Specialist and complete the relevant training.

Upon graduation, you will undergo a foundational posting at a fire station to build your operational skills and experience. Thereafter, you may be considered for specialist vocations, subject to the relevant selection criteria and training requirements.
