Upon completion of training, all Direct-Entry Lieutenants and Fire & Rescue Specialists will first need to undergo a foundational posting at a fire station, where they will accumulate the necessary operational skills and experience. After the foundational posting, they may be selected for specialist vocations where they are required to undergo further training.
