If my son is really good in a certain subject (e.g. English/Malay/Mathematics/Science), does he stand a good chance if he applies for the relevant talent area?

The ability to score high in a specific subject can be an indication of talent. However, it is also possible that your son is an outstanding student and may have other talents. All students are welcome to apply for the DSA-Sec via the relevant talent areas they are skilled at or have a talent in, as we consider every application carefully. If he is not shortlisted under the DSA-Sec exercise, he can still consider applying to RI through the S1 posting process.
